Tutor profile - Chrissie

Chrissie is an Online Maths Tutor with 10 years of experience tutoring students worldwide. She tutors ages 8 to Adult in Maths (GCSE/IGCSE/A Level and IB) and provides additional services in 11+ tuition for KS2 (English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning).

Chrissie holds 3 years of teaching experience as a Secondary School Maths teacher (QTS), and has five years of experience as an Examiner for Edexcel.

During the Summer months, she teaches at an International Pre-University Summer school (Oxford Royale Academy). Here she works with students aged 16 - 18 who wish to expand on their knowledge in Maths beyond the school curriculum in order to prepare for University. In the summer, she also runs private 11+ Summer Group Sessions for students to sit past paper examinations and gain experience and personalised feedback for preparation for the selective school examinations.

Chrissie is passionate about tutoring and enjoys challenging her students to reach their full potential. Her main focus is transparency and relationships. She believes in creating a productive but friendly environment based on honesty where a tutee is both comfortable and confident and able to make mistakes without being judged.

Outside tutoring, Chrissie is an avid sportswoman. She enjoys running and is part of a local running club that she races for monthly. Chrissie is a passionate boulderer and enjoys challenging herself to formulate the best solution to climbing puzzles. Socially, Chrissie enjoys games inclusive of board games, video games and LARP (Live Action Role Play) where she attends a Harry Potter themed school twice a year. Chrissie also enjoys studying as she believes it is important to always be learning something in life. Currently, she is studying Japanese, Python and Physics.
