"Maud is amazing. When I started sessions with Maud I was a C level student with some good ideas and when I finished with her I received an A in my English Lit A Level exam. She really pushes you for the most advanced and nuanced arguments and helps you think deeply about the text you're studying, as well as transforming my approach to essay technique. Simply put, after Maud's sessions I felt I had the tools to turn in an excellent essay no matter the subject, and was confident both in my form and in the substance of my argument."

"The tuition was just right for our daughter. Maud was a fantastic tutor and provided lots of great advice and helped address some of the key areas our daughter needed practice on.
Maud was excellent. She had a professional manner and clearly showed a great deal of experience in helping children towards their 11+. "

We collect references for all of our tutors when they join. Not all referees agree to have their reference publically listed, but when they do we show them here.
Maud is an exceptional young teacher with a power to enthuse and inspire young people. When she worked for me, she was diligent and prepared and the students looked forward immensely to their time with her. In her work as a Home Tutor, she provided an exemplary service, helping some of our most unwell students achieve good GCSEs and continue their educational journeys under testing circumstances. I have no doubts at all that you should work with Maud; she will be an asset to any organisation.

Maud is a remarkable tutor - partly because she is a fully qualified teacher but also because of her personality. She is organised and capable and because she knows the curriculum so well she sees what a student is struggling with and clarifies it. Her empathy is really great - so she knows how to make students feel more confident by giving them the tools they need. She really deconstructs what a pupil needs to do to succeed so they are not over-awed by essay titles or exam questions. We found that she could inspire her tutee even when the content seemed difficult - she has a real gift of making a student feel they CAN do well. She is also very optimistic and happy so it was a pleasure each week to see her. I heartily recommend her.
