Hannah's biography

Hannah is an experienced tutor and classroom teacher. She is qualified to teach English to pupils aged 11-18 and has a strong background in 13+ entrance examination preparation. Many of her past pupils now attend top senior schools in and around London.

Hannah has worked as a teacher across Key Stages 3 and 4. She has prepared pupils for Common Entrance and for many of the alternative entrance examinations required by independent schools. She also has experience teaching GCSE English Language and Literature.

Hannah has a Bachelor of Arts in English Studies from Sheffield Hallam University where she studied literature, language and creative writing. She went on to complete her teacher training at Canterbury Christ Church University and was awarded QTS in 2013.

Hannah has experience working with a broad range of abilities and adapts her lessons to the needs of each individual. She identifies pupils’ areas of strength and difficulty and works to increase their confidence and skill through a tailored approach.

Hannah has an infectious enthusiasm for English and has seen many of her pupils develop a love of reading and writing where they previously lacked confidence and motivation. Her lessons are engaging and challenging. She works with dedication to enable her pupils to grow in confidence, develop stronger skills and reach their full potential.
