Tutor profile - Mebru

Mebru is currently working as a deputy head teacher at a prep school in the heart of London. She has predominantly taught in the private school sector as well as having experience in state schools and on the international scene. She has over 16 years of classroom experience and as the Head of English, as well as experience in tuition in English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-verbal reasoning preparation for students sitting their 7+, 11+ and 13+ examinations. Mebru has excellent knowledge and understanding of the ISEB curriculum and has been successful in helping students gain acceptance for London’s top, prestigious secondary schools including Westminster, St. Paul’s, Merchant Taylors’ and Harrow. Mebru also has ample experience in providing students with interview practice.

As a teacher, Mebru is patient who aims to make her lessons fun, varied and interactive. She understands that all children learn differently therefore she is able to adapt her lessons according to the students' needs. Mebru ensures she provides clear instructions and guidance on answering technique so that students know exactly how to approach their exams. She thinks it is vital that she provides as much positive pupil feedback as possible, as this builds confidence.

Mebru is also an accomplished pianist and has prepared students for their ABRSM examinations with a 95% pass rate.
