Serena's biography

Serena is an enthusiastic and experienced teacher and senior leader. Serena began her teaching career training through Teach First after completing a degree in English Literature from the University of York. Since then, Serena has taught in London Primary schools as a teacher and Assistant Head.

Serena has a wealth of experience preparing Year 6 pupils for their SATs exams as well as supporting pupils taking the 11 plus. During her career, Serena has taught pupils from ages 6-11, with particular experience teaching in Year 6 and Year 2. Serena is passionate about helping pupils to make progress and achieve their full potential, while making learning as enjoyable and engaging as possible.

Forest School
This year, I have helped a prepare a pupil to undertake the 11+ test at Forest School and prepare for their admissions interview. The pupil successfully gained a place at Forest School and reported feeling confident and positive throughout the admissions process.

Owl Tutors school entrance training

Serena has successfully completed the Owl Tutors training course in 11 Plus and 13 Plus exam preparation. This means they have a thorough understanding of the structure, content and demands of these exams and are qualified to prepare students. Training is delivered by Holly, a highly experienced school entrance tutor and member of the Owl Tutors team.
