Faizel

Faizel is an experienced educational consultant and former Headteacher with over 24 years' experience in education. He holds a Master's degree in Childhood and Youth Development from South Africa and completed his PGCE at London South Bank University before beginning his teaching career in the UK. He spent nine years at Wetherby School in London, where he taught boys preparing for entry to many of the UK's leading independent schools. During this time, he developed extensive experience of the academic standards, expectations and preparation required for highly competitive 7+, 8+ and 11+ entrance examinations. He later became Principal of British International Schools, including leading a British International School in Zagreb, Croatia.

Alongside his work in schools, Faizel has supported children and families through individual tuition, educational consultancy and school admissions preparation. He teaches mathematics, English, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning, while also helping children develop the organisation, resilience and effective learning habits needed to perform well under pressure.

Many of the children he has worked with have gone on to secure places at leading schools including St Paul's Juniors (formerly Colet Court), Westminster Under School, Latymer Upper School, North London Collegiate School and Francis Holland School, among others.

Every programme begins with understanding the individual child. Faizel carefully identifies each pupil's strengths, areas for development and preferred learning style before designing lessons tailored to their needs. His calm, structured approach enables children to make excellent academic progress while developing greater independence, confidence in their thinking and a genuine enjoyment of learning.
