Isabelle has a degree and a PhD in chemistry, and a Masters in Education. She is reliable, organised and has excellent subject knowledge across the science curriculum. Isabelle has a strong experience in planning lessons which are structured around clear learning objectives, and in finding and developing engaging activities and resources tailored to the needs of her students.
Isabelle was a full-time science teacher for 17 years in a secondary school in London. As a teacher, she has many years of experience in preparing students for exams, helping them to tune their exam techniques and maximise their exam performance to meet or exceed their target grades.
Isabelle has extensive experience in teaching all three sciences at KS3 and GCSE, and in supporting students in achieving their full potential across a wide range of abilities and needs, e.g. Gifted and Talented students, students on the autistic spectrum, students with dyslexia, students with English as an additional language and students with ADHD.
Isabelle is now a full-time tutor. She has experience in tutoring KS3 Science, GCSE and iGCSE Science, Chemistry A-level, KS3 Maths, and GCSE and iGCSE Maths. She has experience of the AQA, OCR, Edexcel and Cambridge exam boards.
Isabelle has experience in tutoring Maths and Science 13+ Common Entrance, supporting students to be successful in the entrance exams to Dulwich College, Trinity College, Eltham College, Tonbridge School, Sevenoaks School and Whitgift School.
Also, she has experience in tutoring online, using document sharing (Google Doc and Google Drawing) via video calling on Skype, Zoom or Google Meet.
Being an experienced educator and a good listener allows Isabelle to identify each student’s own strengths and areas for development, enabling her to provide the necessary support to ensure the student is ready to face challenges with confidence and maximise their performance.
In her free time, Isabelle enjoys keeping fit and healthy, cooking, reading and listening to music.
