3 to Dulwich College, 2 to Whitgift School, 2 to Trinity College, 2 to Eltham College
Isabelle has a degree and a PhD in chemistry, and a Masters in Education. She is reliable, organised and has excellent subject knowledge across the science curriculum. Isabelle has a strong experience in planning lessons which are structured around clear learning objectives, and in finding and developing engaging activities and resources tailored to the needs of her students.
Isabelle was a full-time science teacher for 17 years in a secondary school in London. As a teacher, she has many years of experience in preparing students for exams, helping them to tune their exam techniques and maximise their exam performance to meet or exceed their target grades.
Isabelle has extensive experience in teaching all three sciences at KS3 and GCSE, and in supporting students in achieving their full potential across a wide range of abilities and needs, e.g. Gifted and Talented students, students on the autistic spectrum, students with dyslexia, students with English as an additional language and students with ADHD.
Isabelle is now a full-time tutor. She has experience in tutoring KS3 Science, GCSE and iGCSE Science, Chemistry A-level, KS3 Maths, and GCSE and iGCSE Maths. She has experience of the AQA, OCR, Edexcel and Cambridge exam boards.

Also, she has experience in tutoring online, using a web whiteboard and document sharing via video calling on Skype.
Being an experienced educator and a good listener allows Isabelle to identify each student’s own strengths and areas for development, enabling her to provide the necessary support to ensure the student is ready to face challenges with confidence and maximise their performance.
In her free time, Isabelle enjoys keeping fit and healthy, cooking, reading and listening to music.

"Our son has developed a really nice relationship with Isabelle. And I must say, she is fantastic. Always perfectly punctual and very professional. Our son looks forward to his sessions which, given that they’re at 5pm Friday afternoon, says a lot."

Isabelle is a highly experienced and professional Science teacher who always delivers an excellent standard of teaching across all the Key Stages. The outcomes her students achieve at GCSE level are consistently above the national average. Isabelle is particularly skilled at adapting her teaching to the needs of the individuals she teaches to ensure they are making, at the least, good progress. Her teaching is methodical, clear and concise which is complimented by her excellent subject and curriculum knowledge. Where necessary Isabelle will devise individualised progress plans for her students to support them during lessons as well as at home. This was one of her effective strategies she adopted when she was the Gifted & Talented Co-Ordinator.

Having worked with Isabelle for 11 years, initially as a colleague and then for 7 years as her Head of Department, I unhesitantly support her application. She is an excellent teacher with experience of a wide range of KS3 and KS4 teaching across the ability range. Her lessons are meticulously prepared and delivered using a range of strategies to allow for individual learning styles. Rigorous marking and assessment underpin her planning to ensure appropriate learning pathways are provided to move students forward. Her knowledge and understanding of Science is excellent and this, coupled with the effectiveness of her teaching, has ensured students in her care have achieved their full potential in terms of examination results.
