Tutor profile - Toni

Antonia studied Psychology at the University of Manchester. Being particularly interested in child educational modules, she decided a career in teaching would be perfect for her. Antonia has always had a genuine interest in helping children grow both academically and socially. This has helped her to teach at an Outstanding level and understand how to prepare and teach for over 30 children in a class with lots of individual needs; ensuring each child reaches their full potential. Antonia has always been complimented for building a fantastic rapport with all of her pupils and has high standards for all of them.

Antonia's pupils consistently make rapid amounts of progress even in short amounts of time. All of her lessons are modified to suit the level and different learning styles of the children she is working with. Antonia uses a combination of fun, informal games and activities to inform her assessment and to understand the best way to help individual children. Antonia knows the importance of making learning fun and stimulating. She has a calm and caring manner and helps children to gain confidence so they can become inquisitive and independent learners.

Antonia will tailor sessions and resources to suit each child’s interests. She will ensure goals are put in place and clear targets are made and met while assessing your child’s needs for the next session to move their learning forward.
