Tutor profile - Ann

Ann is a classroom teacher with over 25 years teaching experience in both the state and private sectors. She is currently employed as an English teacher at a private school in Cheshire where she has extensive experience in 11+ and Common Entrance entry examination preparation in English, Maths and Verbal Reasoning. She has a very high success rate in tutoring for selective school entry.

During her long teaching career, Ann has taught many children with a wide range of learning needs such as ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia and those experiencing hearing loss. She has held the SENCO role in school and supported parents in their child's individual learning journey. Ann starts the tutoring journey by establishing the young person's preferred learning style and by assessing current levels in the key areas.
Her friendly and approachable manner makes children feel secure and ready to learn!

This was undoubtedly always Ann’s approach. Ann not only boosted my daughter’s confidence but mine too as a parent trying to support my daughter in her work. Ann advised me on further books, work and on how often to complete extra work at home. We received detailed feedback on my daughter's work after every lesson.
