Prior to working in education, Jabrane spent seven years in the investment management industry at Coutts bank. Then he changed career and embarked on teaching and tutoring Mathematics.
Over the last five years, Jabrane has equipped himself with a solid foundation in pedagogical methods and hands-on practical knowledge in teaching Mathematics in the classroom. Completing a rigorous specialist subject School-centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) in Mathematics, provided by Dulwich College London in partnership with The National Mathematics and Physics SCITT (NMAPS), he became a fully qualified teacher of Mathematics at St Thomas the Apostle School and Sixth Form College, an Ofsted outstanding school, winner of the TES UK Secondary School of the Year award and ranked 14th in the country based on the Progress 8 score of 2022. After four successful years at St Thomas the Apostle School and Sixth Form College, he decided to advance his career into international education and joined Westminster Academy, an IB World School and Ofsted outstanding academy.
Alongside, Jabrane holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in secondary Mathematics from the University of Buckingham, Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate from TEFL Org UK, an MA in Philosophy from Heythrop College, University of London, a BA (Hons) in Business Administration from the University of Wales, and currently he is undertaking a part-time postgraduate qualification in Philosophy of Education at UCL Institute of Education. Through these academic and professional qualifications, he has acquired strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and a comprehensive grounding in philosophical approaches to contemporary educational issues, including professional practice. This, complemented by his continuing professional development in the latest evidenced-based findings of cognitive science in education and effective research-informed pedagogical strategies, has helped him enhance his students’ attainment, progress, and outcomes significantly.
Apart from academia, Jabrane is a keen sports enthusiast. He is a karate practitioner and holder of 4th Dan black belt. He is often involved in long-distance running events and swimming. He enjoys traveling and exploring other countries’ cultural heritage, cuisines, and languages.

Jabrane has successfully completed the Owl Tutors training course in 7 Plus and 11 Plus exam preparation. This means they have a thorough understanding of the structure, content and demands of these exams and are qualified to prepare students. Training is delivered by Holly, a highly experienced school entrance tutor and member of the Owl Tutors team.
