Holly

Holly is an accomplished primary school educator with 10 years of experience teaching in a variety of year groups. Having obtained her BA Hons degree in Primary Education with outstanding qualified teaching status from Durham University, she went on to teach at a state school in Lower Key Stage 2. During this time, Holly mentored newly qualified teachers and led Design and Technology. In 2020, Holly moved to West London where she joined a prestigious preparatory school in Kensington and Chelsea, teaching in Lower Key Stage 2. In 2021, Holly moved into Year 1 and developed a passion for Key Stage 1. Four years later, Holly went on to teach Year 2 and was the Key Stage 1 Coordinator alongside leading writing and phonics, with her greatest achievement being the implementation of Talk 4 Writing across the school. As part of her role as the Key Stage 1 lead, Holly mentored teachers and delivered numerous workshops to parents on how best to support children in writing, reading, phonics and maths.

Since 2020, Holly has privately tutored over 30 students in West London both online and in person supporting pupils in maths, phonics, writing, reading and spelling. In addition, Holly has prepared pupils for 4+, 7+ and 11+ examinations to gain entry into schools including Bute House, City of London, Francis Holland, Wetherby Senior, Falkner House, Westminster and Glendower. She is now a full time tutor supporting pupils from the ages of 3 - 11.

Having taught numerous pupils, Holly is an expert in knowing how to tailor learning so that it is differentiated to suit numerous different learning styles. Ultimately, Holly believes that no two children are the same; therefore, learning should be adaptable, engaging and fun.
