Isobel

Since studying French at Pembroke College, Cambridge, Isobel has gained a wealth of experience working across the Humanities, a passion that she brings to her teaching and tutoring roles. After graduating, Isobel was part of the Teach First Primary Programme, specialising in Literacy and Languages. Isobel was rated Outstanding as an NQT (Newly Qualified Teacher).

Since leaving full-time teaching, Isobel has taken on mentoring and tutoring roles for students of various ages and levels, across the humanities. She has experience preparing students for Entrance exams, aiding with revision (at GCSE and A-Level), University entrance and also with more general support. She takes a supportive and holistic approach to learning.

Having taken a break from teaching to focus on her PhD research, Isobel is now returning to tutoring. For younger students, Isobel's experience is particularly suited to support in literacy, French, and preparation for entrance exams. For older students, Isobel offers support in writing and structuring essays, formulating arguments and building confidence in critical thinking. She is available for online tuition, home tuition, and residential stays.

Alongside teaching and her individual research, Isobel enjoys long walks on the beach and trips to the cinema.
