School entrance experience
Cara has worked with children aiming to attend the following schools:
Cara has helped two students to achieve places at schools, passing the 7 + examinations recently after a few setbacks. One passed both examinations for Notting Hill Prep and Ibstock Place School within the first two months of her teaching him. Another pupil achieved a place at Alleyn’s.
Cara has supported pupils with preparing for the 8 + at King's and enabling them to develop the reasoning skills and problem solving strategies to conquer the challenge of the non-verbal and verbal reasoning which had been identified as a weaker area for them.
Personalised teaching strategies to support weaker areas identified from assessment are key. Cara uses closing the gap strategies in every area of her teaching and learning to maximise pupil progress.
Cara's qualifications
Cara qualified to teach Primary education in 2021, and holds a PGCE Primary Education (5-11) with QTS from Sheffield Hallam University .
