Conrad studied Medicinal Chemistry at UCL, going on to complete a PGCE from Cambridge University in 1990. Following this, he spent the better part of 20 years teaching Chemistry and Science at secondary level, often at schools in challenging circumstances. He keeps in touch with many former students, a good number of whom have gone on to successful careers in areas like Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy thanks to their A-Level Chemistry grades. In 2008, Conrad was awarded the Jack Petchey award for his contribution to teaching and leadership. Conrad has had a deep passion for Chemistry and Science in general since his own school days, and loves conveying this to his students.
At present, Conrad is on sabbatical taking a well-earned break from the classroom to attend evening classes in a variety of courses unrelated to Science. His hobbies and interests include photography, sculpture and opera. Conrad believes in putting students at their ease so they are not afraid to ask questions and make mistakes by showing patience and understanding in order to develop strong foundations upon which to build scientific knowledge.
Conrad qualified to teach Chemistry in 1990, and holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from University of Cambridge.

"Conrad is a kind, gentle and intelligent man. He has an almost spiritual way of engaging your teenager and making them look forward to his tutorials at the end of a long day. Conrad is persistent, thorough and supportive. He will not move on until he is confident that your child has fully grasped the subject. We really loved meeting him and chatting about his number two passion: cricket. Conrad is a superb Chemistry tutor."

Conrad, like all of our tutors, is a qualified teacher and has been interviewed by us personally. All of our tutors have at least two years of classroom teaching experience and come with fantastic references and criminal records checks.
