Tutor profile - Tim

Tim studied at Towson University for an undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Classical Literature. From there, he got a CELTA in the UK and earned his PGCE in English and History. He has been teaching for 18 years and has gained experience in a variety of subject areas, from: English Language and Literature to History and Media Studies. He has taught to GCSE and A-level and works in a top college in the UK. He also teaches for university entry, personal statements and entrance into independent schools in the United Kingdom and abroad. He is also an examiner and moderator for all four major exam boards in the UK. He examines for both GCSE and A-level - focusing mainly on aspects of English, but on occasion History and Media Studies. His experience with the exam boards has informed his teaching and he has a long track of success of achieving both high grades, and adding value to pupils' predicted grades. He is a motivated to help pupils achieve their desired outcomes.
