Simon

Simon is a graduate of Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge and completed his Master's degree at Royal Holloway, University of London. After a period as a researcher and university lecturer, he decided to switch careers into school teaching, qualifying through the Graduate Teacher Programme in 2003. With over 15 years' teaching experience, Simon has worked in both the state sector and several of the country's leading independent schools, including St. Mary's School, Ascot and Lord Wandsworth College. He has taught mathematics at every level from Key Stage 2 to A Level Further Mathematics and IB, as well as coaching students applying for Oxbridge entry via Pre-U and STEP papers, guidance in interview technique and provision of 'mock' interviews.

Simon is also a highly experienced private tutor, both in person and online, helping prepare children for entrance/scholarship examinations to independent schools and public examinations at 16 and 18, as well as adults sitting professional examinations in fields as diverse as accountancy and nursing. In the course of his career he has received many testimonial letters and emails from students, expressing appreciation for the manner in which his support and encouragement has contributed to their success.
