7 Plus, 8 Plus, 11 Plus, Other School Entrance, English & Maths
Paul was a fantastic tutor and my 8 year old son enjoyed his lessons weekly. Even before the start of our sessions, Paul asked lots of questions to establish the key areas to focus on. Based on this he devised a teaching plan and informed us of the progress our son should be expected to make. Paul's manner is calm and reassuring. He is an extremely patient tutor who gives encouragement to his pupil through the session. He always arrived on time. I would recommend Paul to any parent.

Paul's biography
Paul spent almost ten years as a primary school teacher before becoming a full-time tutor in 2019. Since then, he has mainly tutored pupils for entrance exams to independent schools and specialises in the 7+ exam. His teaching career started at an 'outstanding' inner London primary school and he then spent five years internationally, which included three years at one of the leading international schools in Central Asia. It was during this time that he developed his experience in teaching pupils with English as an additional language.
As a classroom teacher, he was often commended during lesson observations for his questioning skills to promote deeper thought and encourage critical and individual thinking - these are skills which he uses in his tutoring too. In addition, he has a keen interest in encouraging a growth mindset and inspiring his pupils to develop a lifelong interest in learning.
In the most recent exams (2022/2023) Paul's pupils were successful in gaining places at some of the top independent schools: King's College Wimbledon, St Paul's Juniors, Westminster Under School, Sussex House, Harrodian, Lady Eleanor Holles, Trinity School, Alleyns, Emanuel and Dulwich College.
Outside of teaching, Paul enjoys being active outdoors.
