That’s why all of our tutors are not only certified educators but have also successfully passed our rigorous assessment process, proving they are truly exceptional teachers!
Our hourly rates start from £70.00 and increase depending on experience and availability. Please see the table below for indicative price ranges for different types and levels of tutoring.

A placement fee of £95 is payable for each tutor that is introduced to you - this will only be charged if a tuition session takes place and will be added to your first invoice.
There are no registration fees. This means that you can meet a tutor without having to pay anything. You will only be invoiced if you engage one of our tutors to deliver tuition after having discussed your requirements with them.

How can I save money when using an Owl Tutor
Consider online tuition if you have not already done so. Most students at KS2 or above will have no problem engaging just as efficiently with an online tutor than a face to face one. Face to face tuition can be up to 50% more expensive for the same tutor!
Consider shorter sessions. Most tuition sessions are one hour. 40 minute sessions can often be effective and could reduce your fees by 33%.
Find out if there are times that you can offer to your tutor that are more convenient for them. Most tutors find it difficult to fill their hours during the day (9am to 3pm) in the week. Many of them will accept lower rates at these times.

Our tutors set the rates that they wish to be paid on each job. The rate that they will request will be dependent on a number of factors including:

Whether the job is face to face or online
How much preparation time is required for each session
The tutor's remaining availability

Susan's biography
Susan is working full-time as head of maths. Over a decade of experience working in Secondary schools across all years 7 - 11, as well as tutoring 1:1, specialising in 11+ common entrance exams with an accumulation of 1000+ hours of online tutoring.
Furthermore, Susan has been an official GCSE exam papers examiner and knows typical students' misconceptions and mistakes to ensure tutees do not do the same. Susan thrives on tutoring students on a 1-to-1 basis and getting them exam-ready, as students can make progress over a short period and then reap the rewards through their improved test scores in school.

Susan has tutored students for school entrance exams (11+) for over a decade. Hence she encompasses a plethora of PowerPoints, online quizzes and strategies to ensure the content is delivered briefly and competently. Bespoke tutoring sessions can be made to ensure gaps are filled and learning is stretched and challenged in preparation for 11+ exams. Of the 30 individuals she tutors weekly, a third of her students are preparing for their 11+ exams for schools across the nation.
All students tutored have gained entry into their preferred school of choice.
