Tutor profile - Cyrus

Cyrus works as a consultant in the city, having left the teaching profession a few years ago. However, he has continued to stay involved in education, working with students for career coaching, work experience and mentoring.

He is keen to now combine his passion of working with young people with his love of Mathematics - having studied for a Masters in Mathematics and Philosophy at Oxford, and then a Masters in Education at Manchester as part of the Teach First programme, Cyrus feels it is important to bring real-world experience to the classroom, and has done so when doing small amounts of private tutoring in the past, combining his years of teaching experience with his industry knowledge. Cyrus is motivated by supporting young people to achieve their goals, and strongly believes that a good education is crucial to anyone's future.
