Victoria is an experienced tutor with a strong academic background. She is currently teaching at an outstanding infant school. Victoria studied for a BA in History at SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies) and later completed a PGCE in Lower Primary at the University of Cambridge. She has taught in prep schools, international schools and as a governess. She has previously tutored pupils aged 4-11 years old including in preparation for entrance examinations.
Victoria is a creative and warm teacher who believes in the building strong relationships with pupils. She is a firm believer that pupils need to feel confident, safe and happy to learn effectively. She has extensive experience working with children with neurodiversity including ASD and ADHD. Having worked internationally (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Russia) Victoria is confident in supporting pupils who speak English as an additional language.
Victoria is passionate about inspiring children’s passion for reading. She loves introducing children to high quality texts and building their vocabulary skills and understanding. She is particularly adept at teaching phonics and early reading and is familiar with Read, Write Inc. and Animaphonics schemes.
In terms of mathematics, she is trained in the Singapore ‘Maths No Problem’ methods. This supports pupils’ mathematical fluency and problem solving skills. Victoria is skilled in assessing where pupils have ‘gaps’ in their knowledge and targets these areas accordingly.

Victoria has successfully completed the Owl Tutors training course in 7 Plus exam preparation. This means they have a thorough understanding of the structure, content and demands of these exams and are qualified to prepare students. Training is delivered by Holly, a highly experienced school entrance tutor and member of the Owl Tutors team.
Victoria's qualifications
Victoria qualified to teach Primary education in 2015, and holds a PGCE from University of Cambridge.
