Tutor profile - Sinead

Sinead started her teaching career in 1999 after having completed a postgraduate degree in Primary school teaching from D.C.U (Dublin City University). In Dublin she taught in both private and state schools. She tutored children from nursery level (age 4) right up to year 6 (age 13) inclusively.

She then moved to London in 2009 and began teaching at Eaton house Prep School, "The Vale", Gloucester road. She was head of year 1 and prepared children for the 7+ Exam. Sinead then moved to Hill House International school in Chelsea and took on the role of year 2 teacher, teaching the children English, Maths, French, Science, History, Geography and Maths. She also had the responsibility of tutoring specially gifted children. In the last 5 years, Sinead has been preparing children for the 7+, 8+ and 11+ Exams, as well as tutoring children that need that extra support in a particular area of the curriculum.

Sinead loves the challenge of finding and understanding exactly how each child works and has a vast bank of tutoring resources and teaching aids to help each individual learn to the best of their ability. Sinead is both patient and creative and focuses on helping each child build up their confidence and enjoyment in learning throughout her tutorials. Sinead is now a full-time tutor.

Most recently, Sinead has worked with students applying for kings College, Westminster and Colet court entry 2018.
