Tutor profile - Jay

Jamie has almost 10 years of teaching experience, with ample experience in English, maths, science and reasoning, teaching children from a variety of backgrounds and abilities.He has three degrees, two from Sunderland University and one from Bournemouth University. He achieved a distinction in his masters in International Education and uses the knowledge gained on a daily basis. More recently, he has moved to the role of English Lead and Year 4 Class Teacher at an independent school that achieves excellent academic results. Throughout his career, Jamie has believed that creating a positive learning environment has a causal relationship to academic attainment. With this in mind, his tutoring style is flexible, and allows for opportunities to utilise games and fun activities to further reinforce learning.
