Leo is an experienced and expert 11+ tutor to top selective North and East London, Hertfordshire and Essex Schools including Henrietta Barnett School, Dame Alice Owen and Latymer schools.
A dynamic, creative and highly experienced teacher, qualified and teaching for over nineteen years, Leo is currently employed as a Deputy Headteacher leading on progress and attainment. Throughout her career, Leo has developed her teaching style, employing a range of assessment methods to ensure that learning is targeted at children’s specific needs in a creative, inclusive and fun way. As a class teacher and leader in primary schools, the majority of her students made accelerated progress due to the inclusive, engaging teaching style Leo has and her expertise in differentiating her curriculum delivery according to the diverse needs of her students.
Leo has tutored a number of students at both 11+ and GCSE level. Leo, having attended a grammar school (Henrietta Barnett) herself, has a good understanding of the 11+ process. She is passionate about making this process as supportive as possible for students and their families, doing this through careful baseline assessment so that tutoring in targeted at children’s individual needs and supporting children to develop a growth mindset as they learn to apply their skills and knowledge to the test activities. She has successfully supported students to pass the 11+ in Essex, North and East London developing an in depth knowledge of the 11+ requirements in the Essex CSSE test and the entrance exam for Chelmsford County High School for girls.
