Stephen's biography:

Stephen graduated from Glasgow University with a 2:1 MA Honours In English and History. His passion for literature led him to embark on a career in teaching which began in Glasgow in 1997. He has taught in a variety of schools and educational systems, ranging from the Scottish Higher, GCSE English, IGSCE English in Barcelona and most recently IB English literature in London. He is used to working with students of all abilities and varied backgrounds, and understands students’ individual academic needs. Stephen has a 100% pass rate in presenting students for IB English Literature and students regularly over perform in his classes.

He is currently Head of English at Marymount International School in Kingston Upon Thames where he specialises in teaching MYP English and IB English Literature (Higher and Standard Levels). Students always enjoy Stephen’s classes – he has a good sense of humour, and is passionate about his subject. He is a father of two young sons and has a patient and caring approach in his work with young people. He regularly attends the theatre, speaks Spanish, enjoys travel and plays the guitar.

Stephen's qualifications:

Stephen qualified to teach English in 1997, and holds a Post Graduate Certificate of Education (“PGCE”) from St Andrews College.
