Kelly qualified as a teacher in 2006 after graduating from the Institute of Education in London. She joined a London Independent school and taught across the key stages from ages 3-13. Having gained the necessary classroom experience, Kelly took on her first student as a private tutor in 2007. She quickly established herself as the 'go to' tutor for students hoping to pass the 7 and 11 plus locally and in Central London. Kelly has a great deal of experience tutoring students with special educational needs including Autism, Dyslexia and EAL. She served as an examiner for the English and Mathematics Sats in 2010 and 2012.

Kelly has worked extensively as a Common Entrance tutor and has helped many students to pass entrance exams for top schools in London. Additionally, she is experienced in preparing pupils for top boarding schools. Three of her students were recently accepted to Wycombe Abbey School and four to Cheltenham Ladies College. She has helped many students gain entry (including two with scholarships) to Chigwell School and Bancroft’s School. In the past 10 years, she has had multiple students accepted to City of London Girls and Boys, St Paul’s, Westminster, Dulwich College and Godolphin & Latymer Schools. She is confident preparing students at the 7, 11 and 13+ entry points to schools and is familiar with both the ISEB and school-specific examination papers.

Kelly knows the curriculum very well and exams standards and makes sure that Henry achieves these standards, she knows weaknesses of Henry and makes sure that he works on areas which are problematic before moving on. High quality tuition.

We hired Owl Tutors to help our American daughter get up to speed on some UK Maths and English questions prior to us relocating from California to London. We were assigned Kelly, and she was fantastic. Our daughter was a little nervous in the beginning and Kelly was calm, friendly and patient, and our daughter warmed to her in no time. After a couple of months our daughter took her UK entrance exam with confidence, and passed. We highly recommend Owl Tutors and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kelly.
