Jay

We really enjoyed working with Jay! He’s an amazing tutor and we thank him for all his hard work!

My son had lesson with Jay for his ISEB test. It was just for last 2 months. But, my son was happy to have his lesson with Jay. My son would look forward to his lessons with Jay. He really enjoyed and specially Jay would challenge him with the harder problem of maths and my son enjoyed that. As a parent, I thought, if I would contact Jay earlier! Jay was always very co-operative and will be sending HW and he had a continuous communication with me. Me and my son appreciate this excellent support from Jay. My son has now crossed ISEB stage and has got his interview from Winchester and Eton now.

Jay has been a fabulous tutor for our daughter who has gone from feeling as though maths wasn’t “her” to confident and capable. Jay has a great manner and quickly established a rapport with our daughter who enjoys her sessions with him. We are very grateful to him.

We had recently relocated to the UK and wanted our daughter to prepare for entrance tests to a few independent schools of our choice. She had barely a week to prepare for the tests - Verbal and Non Verbal Reasoning, Maths and English. Since each of the schools had different type of tests and as parents we were clueless of the UK educational system, we decided to take help from Owl Tutors. We accepted Jay's proposal and we are very happy to say that our daughter was offered in 2 of the 3 schools so far she had tested with and we are awaiting the results of the 3rd one. Jay spent 2 hrs each day (total of 10 hrs) prepping our daughter on different topics, and gave her many question papers to work offline. They built a great working rhythm in these few days and our daughter really looked forward to these sessions. Additionally Jay also prepared her for interviews with the School Heads and most importantly gave her the confidence that she can ace the tests. Jay was very flexible with his hours as we had to reschedule a few lessons when our daughter fell ill. I would recommend Jay any day to anyone who is looking for a good tutor.

(Student) was accepted into Ardingly but unfortunately not Brighton. We believe the exams went well and that she did not present the picture they were looking for at interview stage. Jay proved to be an outstanding Maths tutor for our daughter - he prepared her within the space of three short months for challenging school entrance exams. From the very first lesson he identified her strengths and weaknesses and she was quickly on to learning new topics which Jay knew would be potentially covered in the entrance exams Scarlett was sitting. Jay is encouraging, knowledgeable, full of tips and alternative ways of addressing questions. He is firm on the basics and effusive and very genuine in his praise. Our daughter went from believing she was struggling in Maths to being very confident and actually finding it is one of her strongest subjects. She looked forwards to every session, essentially working through past papers at several levels and targeting areas of difficulty, she found them fun and bounced out of them full of news on what she had learned and how intriguing the topic was. I would without hesitation work with Jay again and highly recommend him, I am only sorry that he is not a teacher at our daughters school !! Kind Regards

My son really enjoyed his maths sessions. Jay managed to make maths fun and the tuition gave some much needed support to us in preparing for secondary school entrance exams.

Our daughter enjoyed working with Jay very much! In fact, we've asked him today if he may be free a couple days over half term.
