Jacqueline's biography

Jacqueline studied at Oxford University, graduating with a 2.1. After a career in marketing, she decided to pursue a career in teaching and obtained her PGCE in Spanish and French in 2002. She has been teaching for over twenty years in a variety of schools both in the UK and abroad in a number of senior teaching and Head of Department roles including King’s College School, Esher College, a number of GDST schools including Wimbledon High, Putney High, Blackheath High, Notting Hill and Ealing High, and co-ed schools Kingston Grammar and Latymer Upper. She is also a special needs specialist teacher, an ex-SENCo with an EAL specialism and a dyslexia specialist holding Associate Membership of the British Dyslexia Association. She holds an assessment practising certificate with PATOSS and can carry out dyslexia assessments and exams access arrangements assessments , and has most recently held the posts of SENCo and Head of Languages. Jacqueline is currently pursuing a doctorate in modern foreign languages teaching and dyslexia.

IB Experience

Jacqueline has taught IB Spanish Higher Level and Standard Level at a leading London independent school and IB ab Initio Spanish and Mandarin. She has also advised Students on their extended essays and, having completed the IB herself, is familiar with the demands of the programme from both a teacher and student perspective.

I have helped countless students gain places at their selected schools over the past twenty years at all levels, from King's College Wimbledon, St Paul's, Putney and Wimbledon High, including university entrance with places at their first choice university. I have also tutored students for Oxbridge entry and helped students with academic scholarships to a variety of schools, such as Westminster, Oxford High, Sutton High, Surbiton High and Kingston Grammar School.

Owl Tutors school entrance training

Jacqueline has successfully completed the Owl Tutors training course in 7 Plus exam preparation. This means they have a thorough understanding of the structure, content and demands of these exams and are qualified to prepare students. Training is delivered by Holly, a highly experienced school entrance tutor and member of the Owl Tutors team.
